Scotland Boat Show on Clyde

A seventy foot ocean racing yacht that circumnavigated the world in the newest edition of the well known Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, symbolizing the Scottish Whisky brand Old Pulteney, would be the centre stage in front of thousands and thousands of visitors at Scotland Boat Show, 10th and 12th October, being arranged on Clyde, near Glasgow, Scotland.

Members of the public would have the scope to experience life on board the stripped down Clipper 70 yacht Old Pulteney, making its debut at the event as well as representing ‘maritime malt’ sublimated in north of Scotland at Wick. Fans could also find the best deals for Chartering a yacht in Scotland.

The Clipper Race is the longest ocean race in the world. Also known as one of the most challenging endurance rages, it is the only sporting event of its type for amateur sailors. 12 teams race on a checked fleet of superposable Clipper 70s, taking around a year to finish their circumnavigation.

Having led Old Pulteney team over forty thousand nautical miles across the world, captian Patrick van der Zijden is looking ahead to donning his kilt again for this occasion. He told that it would be really great moment sail the Old Pulteney to Scotland for their 1st visit.

They sailed across the top of the nation in the final leg of the race but never had the scope to stop. He enjoyed the excellent hospitality of their Scottish sponsors across the world very much and he is now excited to experience it in person at the Scotland Boat Show.
